Hello,

If you want to use the same pot/basket first of all you need to empty the contents and keep the unknown plant if you like it. Then you need to line the basket with a liner such as these:

Then you need to fill the liner with a good quality moisture rententive hanging basket compost such as this one:

Then you need to plant up the basket/pot with the plants of your choice, dependent on the plants you like and your favourite colours.
Plants can be supplied for this purpose e.g.

At this time of year you need to make sure that if the newly planted pot/basket is to be located outside you either need to use hardy plants or bring the pot indoors at night if frost is forecast.

When planting up the pot/basket don't put too many plants in; allowing some space for the plants to grow. Water regularly and feed after the first 6 weeks or so when the new compost begins to run out of nutrients.

If you want to, why not plant up the basket pot with some permanent plants so that you won't have to keep changing it with the seasons.
If it is to be place in a sunny spot I was thinking of
Strawberries

or herbs

Hope I have been of some help.
